Thomas Hartland Smith

Senior Catchment Restoration Officer
Operations

I have worked in conservation sector for over 15 years. This has allowed me to develop a rounded skillset including habitat creation, identification, monitoring and management, training, education, community engagement and partnership development. I’m proud to say I have an extensive back-catalogue of successful projects developed and delivered within meadows, woodlands, and riparian environments. These projects encompass environmental protection, enhancement, restoration, and creation schemes. My role as a senior officer involves the delivery of multiple projects across the Worcestershire Middle Severn and the Warwickshire Avon. I advise and support staff with projects and specific habitat or technical related questions. I am motivated by the desire to make a lasting impact on our natural world at a landscape-scale. I take pride in inspiring and supporting others in making positive changes. One of the biggest motivators is enjoying my job.
