Sophie Bloor

Assistant Farm Advisor
Operations

I live on a small holding in the Rea catchment and went to Harper Adams University where I did a countryside management degree. Since leaving uni I worked as a ranger for three years at Dudmaston Hall in Bridgnorth. My role is a partnership role with Severn Rivers Trust and Severn Trent to deliver the STEPS programme within the Cound brook. Alongside this, my wider work with Severn Rivers Trust takes me into the Rea catchment to work with farmers on natural flood management and nature-based solutions. It has always been a goal of mine to aid nature recovery. By working for both Severn Trent and Severn Rivers Trust, I’m helping improve water quality and flood management within the catchment, and subsequently creating and restoring new habitats.
