Ian spent the first 20+ years of his career in Human Resource Management, culminating in becoming Group HR Director and a member of the Executive Committee at 2 FTSE 100 businesses.
Ian then went on to successfully run a management consultancy for c.15 years specialising in board effectiveness and organisation performance. During this time, he was also an Executive Development Director at Cranfield School of Management.
Ian now focuses on non-executive work. He is Chair of the largest care home provider in Shropshire, caring for 700 residents across 12 homes with 1,000 staff. He is also Senior Trustee at a national medical condition charity and a Trustee of a local Citizens Advice. In addition, he is a member of a network which provides careers advice to schools in Coventry and Warwickshire.
Ian joined the board of SRT in 2022 and his area of expertise is HR and Governance. He lives in Warwickshire within 2 miles of the River Avon and he is delighted to finally be making some use of his Geography degree.
