Alison Wilkes

Catchment Restoration Officer – Lower Teme
Operations

I have worked in conservation for over 20 years, working for environmental NGOs, local councils and for government organisations. My previous roles include project management, volunteer management, advisory, education and events, conservation training and quality assurance. I oversee the delivery of a range of catchment restoration initiatives. The projects involve surveying, creating, restoring, and monitoring a variety of habitats including wetlands, woodlands, hedgerows etc. I work in the lower part of the River Teme (SSSI) catchment, which joins the River Severn at Worcester. I am passionate about making local spaces better for wildlife and for people – river catchments offer an amazing opportunity to do that. I am interested in all kinds of wildlife and habitats – there is always something new to see and discover!
