Ryeford Sluices and culvert (SO 81346 04597) are currently considered a barrier to fish migration in the River Frome catchment. Detailed designs for new sluice gates, low-cost baffles and an eel pass have been drawn up for installation. Permits and permissions for installation are expected to be in place for start of the works, and a Principal Contractor is now being sought for delivery for the fish easement project.
