Project Aims: Working with the Environment Agency, Severn Trent Water and a local farmer to find a suitable area on the Rea Brook to release water voles and reintroduce the species to the area. Also creating a new wetland next to the Rea Brook to increase habitat for voles.

Major Success:

·      New wetland created providing new habitat for Water Voles and many other species

·      Over 100 Water Voles released along a section of the Rea Brook

·      Several farmers in the area also keen to develop new wetland areas for wildlife
