As the area encompassing the very top of the River Severn, the Severn Uplands could be referred to as the crown of the UK's longest river. This makes the Severn Uplands unique, as what happens here not only affects local people and biodiversity but ultimately the entire Severn catchment, all the way to the Severn estuary.
For the Severn Uplands Catchment Partnership such a position provides a wealth of opportunities to realise and deliver on the vision of a healthy water environment that benefits society, the local economy and biodiversity.
Working together to reduce the effects of flooding, drought and pollution in a way that creates a healthy water environment for local communities, farmers and biodiversity.
