Our Rivers-Poll results

The Results of the Our Rivers poll are in.

The good news for the Severn catchment is that none of our rivers were voted in the five  worst.

The bad news is none were in the five best either. How the Teme can’t be included in the top five rivers in England and Wales is beyond me……but it is almost a secret to every body outside of the Midlands.

Wye & Usk Foundation RIVER WALK

WUF RIVER WALK Sunday 28th November 2010

We write this week briefly to say that there are still a few places on our annual river walk. For anyone who has never been before, we will be meeting at the car park, Builth Wells at 9.45 to move off at 10.00am. There will be a stop for lunch at the Caerberis Hotel.

We will be visiting sites where fish spawn or if high water, negotiate fish passes and see some of the work carried out by the Foundation. We advise bringing wellingtons, waterproofs cameras and Polaroids. The cost including lunch is £27.00 and places may be booked by ringing the office and speaking to Wendy or Allyson. 01982560788
